Setting Goals and Making Plans for 2015: A Look at Daily Routines of Famous Creative Minds

The blogosphere, social media and the interwebs in general are explosive this time of year with goal setting tips, new year’s resolutions, and how to get all your duckies in a row for your most efficient year possible. Admittedly, I am doing some winter cleaning myself – making lists, maps, plans, and general organizing – of my brain, home, and berjillion notes that I jot down throughout the year.

In my email today, I recieved this little ditty from visual.ly, a site chock full of interesting infographics on most anything you can think of. (Which leads me to another goal to add to the list this year – somehow corral my email subscriptions so I don’t have several thousand unread emails all the time).

Anyhoo, thought y’all would find this as interesting as I do!

A few more of my creative goals for 2015:

– Give my workspace a makeover for more efficiency and better organization, plus I want to clean it up and update the design.

– Keep a creative journal of ideas.

– Paint more! I love it, but I don’t make enough time for it.

If you don’t follow me on Twitter or Facebook (please do!), you may not have seen this post last week. Van and I listened to our church service on the way home from our Christmas and New Year’s celebration with my family in Myrtle Beach, and towards the end of the sermon, Senior Pastor Perry Noble said some things that really stuck with me. I had already made a list of resolutions for the year, but I also think there is no greater time than the present to improve upon one’s self, and although I had already set some goals, I immediately wrote down 5 words that I plan to live by this year. I hope you find them as valuable as I did…they are also posted on my refrigerator to remind myself daily to focus on these words as a way to live throughout the year and always.

Hope everyone is having a great week! Happy Friday Eve!
