How to Really Show Appreciation to Your Child’s Teacher

So we all know that teachers are overworked and underpaid. Many people want to show appreciated for their child’s teacher, which is so incredibly thoughtful and appreciated by the teachers. However, there are many things a teacher is really not interested in receiving because they get SO MUCH of the same thing. Some of these items include but are not limited to… soap, candles, coffee mugs, monogrammed bags, pictures of your children, candy or sweet treats. I know those items are easy but these are the most common items given to a teacher. So here is a list of other items that would be appreciated by teachers outside of these items.

DIY and School Supplies – Teachers often have to buy their own school supplies so that is always a great gift. There are also some great DIY gifts that teachers would also totally appreciate. Here is a great list that will meet both of those requirements.

The bottom line is, no matter what you get, the teachers will be so appreciative of the gifts! There are so many options out there – don’t feel like you need to limit yourself to something that is expensive. Also, it is nice to give teachers who help your children in others ways a small gift as well. There are so many that help our students that sometimes we forget to help the “extra” teachers as well! I hope this helped you come up with some new ideas to thank your favorite teacher this year.
