Creating A Calming Master Bedroom By Using the Power of Blues

I have always felt attracted to the color blue and find it an extremely calming color. This is one of the reasons I chose to make a blue master bedroom. I am constantly looking for how to improve my bedroom in order to make it more serene and functional as well. Here are some of my favorite decor inspirations as well as some pictures of the current state of my bedroom.

Paint – This is a the most obvious choice when creating a blue sanctuary. There are so many fantastic blues to choose from nowadays. Here are some of my favorite blue palettes.

Bedding – Here are some wonderful bedding options to satisfy your blue cravings in addition to the way to make your bed look like a designer set.

Here is a great way to decorate the bedding to make it both comfortable and sophisticated.

Furniture – Now I am not necessarily into blue bedroom furniture. But here are some of my favorite that would go beautifully in a blue bedroom.

Decor – Here are some of my favorite decor items that would really accentuate any bedroom regardless of color.

I love these calming prints with the combination of a similar plant on the nightstand. This is a great way to make your room more an oasis:

Here is the look of my bedroom in progress. One of my favorite things about our room is the painting done by Drew’s grandmother. I also am obsessed with the dark blue color of the walls that I have also used it for other rooms in the house.

In the end, your bedroom should be an area free of clutter and distraction. It should be an oasis from the stress of daily life. I personally think it is important to keep it simplistic and chic!
