As you all know, my husband and I have been slowly renovating our home one step at a time. This month, we focused on the guest bathroom out of necessity. We had a crack in the floor tile which caused a slow leak anytime someone used the bathtub. Therefore, we had no choice and the bathroom floor needed to be replaced. In the end, we replaced more than the bathroom floor. It has really updated the bathroom and made it one of my favorite rooms in the house.
The Before List – I really disliked most the things about this bathroom. I really hated the old-school colored tub, toilet, and sink. I especially hated the almond colored tile and tile around the tub as well. Basically I wanted to demo the whole room and start all over!
The Inspirations – I looked at a ton of different bathrooms to see what would work best for our space and budget. I knew that I would not get everything on my list. Let’s face it – I am on a budget and need to be realistic about our expectations. Here are some of my inspiration posts.
I love this clean timeless bathroom look.
I love this dark and light juxtoposition. It looks so serene and peaceful.
The Results – I am honestly so thankful to have such a handy father-in-law and husband. They literally did all the work in this bathroom! They work fabulously as a team and really created something beautiful.
It was a wonderfully short process to have our bathroom updated. Now I have been looking at bathrooms with the dreams of updates for a while. But once it came time – the update was fast and furious. I am so thrilled with the results and can’t wait to have more visitors to our home to show off our new bathroom.
