Just Shoe Me | The Zest is History and Weekend List Link for 8/22

I’ve begun the bittersweet process of purging the closet and packing up the summer clothes, making sure I wear my whites one more time, and setting aside stuff to be dry cleaned. The time is coming soon to pull out those transition pieces and consider close toed shoes.

These adorable yellow t-strap heels are perfect for transitioning from summer to fall.

The best thing about saying goodbye to summer? COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!! It’s right around the corner y’all!!! Then it will be the holidays and 2016 will be here before we know it!

Also, there are new invitations and announcements going up every day on Etsy, plus I’m now a Stella and Dot Independent Stylist…so if you need any fun jewelry, look no further!

Y’all are keeping this girl busy!

…AND I LOVE IT. Thanks so much to everyone for your support as The Olive Shoe grows… I’m still fine tuning and tweaking designs, the site, even branding, and well, pretty much everything as I seed the need for change and adaptation. Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Wishing all the parents, teachers and kiddos the ABSOLUTE BEST first weeks of school as you all get into the swing of things!

{Sophia Webster Jessica Watermelon D’Orsay Pump}

Lawsy me!!! How ridiculously adorable are these?? Nothing says summer in the south like watermelon (and boiled peanuts of course). These shoes!!! So stinkin’ cute! What a perfect combination of artistic flair and functionality (although that heel would be a stretch for me).

To boot, I found that Sophia Webster also offers a watermelon design in a slingback, a wedgean absolutely adorable little flat, and even a toddler shoe!!

Just Shoe Me | DIY Birthday Shoes and Weekend Link List

{These amazing DIY birthday shoes from Somerset Place!! SWOON!!}

Love love love love love those shoes!! Van and I have three birthday parties to go to this weekend, all for very special people who we can’t wait to celebrate! So, that said, you can see why I leaned towards shoes of the birthday variety this week…also, later in the post you’ll find links to a DIY coconut coffee scrub, words that changed their identity, a church made out of trees, a crab and avocado salad recipe that I can’t wait to try, some design tips, and a fun Wedding Wednesday post on Clemson Girl.

I haven’t really posted much to the blog in the last couple of weeks 1) because I wanted the How-to-Order Shirts post to be front and center on the blog for people who aren’t familiar with it or may have wanted to order, 2) because I was on vacation for the week of the fourth, and 3) because I have been SUPER busy packaging shirts this week and working on a several freelance design projects, not to mention some SUPER FUN admin stuff for The Olive Shoe and my Etsy store!! So needless to say, I have been slightly busy. I have enough ideas that I could feasibly post every day of the week…but there is just not enough time in the day!!

Regarding recent design projects, I absolutely LOVE designing logos and branding for small businesses, and I had an absolute blast working on this design for Pluff Mud, a new store coming to Murrells Inlet, SC in August. Go “LIKE” their page on Facebook to get updates as they prepare for their grand opening!

Just Shoe Me and Weekend Link List for March 21

I’ve had a crazy week. WHEW. It’s officially the end of my wedding planning with just TWO WEEKS TO GO!!! Holy Moly!! Work is nuts, I’m finishing several freelance projects, a BOATLOAD of wedding projects, and I’ve locked my keys in my car twice in the last two weeks. I think I’ve reached my saturation point.

I couldn’t be more grateful for the amazing people in my life who have helped me with crafting, planning, brainstorming, etc. to this point though, and I’m so excited to become Van’s wife though, to see so many family and friends, and celebrate so much love…oh, and did I mention the honeymoon? CAN’T WAIT.

In honor of St. Patty’s and my wedding quickly approaching… I heart these…
